Free Fitness & Nutrition Classes
Healthier Texas offers free, fitness and nutrition classes to all Texans and all fitness levels! Formats include Zumba, yoga, MixxedFit and more. Classes are available in English and Spanish.




Total Knockout
Get ready to punch, kick, and sweat your way to a stronger, fitter you! This high-energy class combines traditional kickboxing moves with cardio movements to give you a full-body workout. Suitable for all fitness levels, this class will help you build strength, improve coordination, and boost your endurance. Whether you're just beginning or advanced, this class will challenge you and leave you feeling empowered and energized. This class will include a brief nutrition education lesson, providing helpful tips on healthy eating and making nutritious choices. Join us to move your body and learn valuable information to support your well-being!
Zumba (In Person)
Join us at the South Austin Recreation Center, 1100 Cumberland Rd, Austin, TX 78704 for ZUMBA®, a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting workout. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. All fitness levels are welcome! This class will include a brief nutrition education lesson, providing helpful tips on healthy eating and making nutritious choices. Party in the USA
Celebrate the 4th of July with a high-energy Zumba® Toning class that brings the fireworks to your workout! Groove to patriotic beats while using light weights to tone muscles and boost endurance. This star-spangled session also includes a brief nutrition education lesson with helpful tips on healthy eating and making nutritious choices. Join us to move your body, celebrate your strength, and support your well-being—red, white, and YOU style!
Chair Yoga
This gentle Chair Yoga class focuses on breath and simple movements to release tension and build body awareness using a chair for support. It also includes a brief nutrition lesson with easy tips for healthy eating and overall well-being.

Core & Cardio
Start your day strong with this high-energy Core & Cardio workout! Boost your heart rate and build core strength through dynamic cardio bursts and targeted abdominal exercises, with modifications for all fitness levels. Zumba Toning
Zumba Toning combines fun dance moves with light weights to help you strengthen your arms, core, and lower body while moving to upbeat Latin rhythms. This class also includes a short nutrition lesson with easy tips to support healthy eating and overall wellness.
Strength Fusion
Strength Fusion blends low-impact cardio and muscle-strengthening exercises for a full-body workout that's gentle on the joints and great for all fitness levels. The class also includes a quick nutrition lesson with helpful tips to support healthy habits and overall wellness.
